This week me and Elder Bromley got a GPS from our mission president. It is for mapping an updating the CMIS of our ward. We spent many hours walking around and mappin the members homes and updating their information. It is a good time and we come up with some funny conversations ranging from LeBron vs MJ and European cruise ships. It is fun, and also there are a lot of 7-11s here and we finally walked into one and saw they had mango ice cream!!!! We both started laughing and getting hyped and everyone started looking at us funny and laughing with us hahaha. We were able to find some very good part members with this mapping we are doing. We have found some promising investigators and so hopefully they can come to church and commit to reading and praying. I have currently been reading in the Book of Mormon in the Mosiah chapters about Limhi and Zeniff and Gideon. I really think Gideon is an underrated Book of Mormon hero, he is a stud, if you get a chance read in those chapters and I think you will realize how cool Gideon really is. Also Alma is a great example of staying true to what you believe in. I have no pictures I am sorry but maybe next week. I love you all I hope you have great weeks!

Wala Akong sunscreen 4/23/2018
Hello everyone! this week was a HOT one haha. Summer is here in the Philippines and the heat is out of control! It gets so flippin hot some days and for a white, blonde missionary it can sometimes lead to sunburns that really hurt. One Friday we had a CSP and we were helping extend a garden, and also plant some mga cactus outside the garden so the goats could not get the garden. The CSP went like 2 hours longer than we planned and it was soooo hot. Yes i got burned and yes it hurt. Good thing we had weekly planning that day so we spent some more time inside planning and away from the sun. After i sat in the shower for like an hour because the water was cold and it felt so good on the sunburn. We went to puregold and there was no aloe vera, so the mission nurse told me to use ice......we dont have ice haha. cold water na lang! haha

Short email 4/15/2018
Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great week!
This week was great and I do not have a lot of time so this is gonna be short. I just want everyone to know that the Plan of Salvation is real and true. The atonement is central to the plan and is the only way we can return back and live as eternal families with God. Death is part of the plan, it is sad and can be hard, but it is necessary and all part of the great plan of God. God loves you more than you can comprehend, and he wants each of us to pray to him and ask him for help, he will bless you if you do so. I am thankful for the knowledge that I have of the Gospel and the Plan of Salvation. I am loving my mission and am thankful for all the experiences I have had so far.
This week we had four baptisms, the Dela Cruz family.
I have no time but I have pictures haha. LOVE YOU ALL

General Conference 2018 4/8/2018
Hello everybody! I know that most of you guys watched general conference like 2 weeks ago or a week ago but in the Philippines it was this week. I was so excited for conference and we all woke up extra earlier just to be able to prepare our journals and prepare spiritually to receive the revelation that we need. We watched the priesthood session first on saturday morning and it was awesome! We heard about the change in elders quorum and it was awesome because it will help the church here so very much. It will make the wards more united and the service easier to organize. Also it will help recent convert be able to be around those that are older and the younger elders in the ward. My favorite talk in priesthood session was by Elder Christofferson. It was about the change in the wuorum but he also shared a cool story about a family that lived in Lehi back when Utah was still being developed. The kids all got sick and died but the father still had to gather the crops from his farm. It really hit me hard when the members of the church helped gather the crops and helped serve him. It was a very sad story but it was very powerful as well, this church is a church of service. On saturday morning and afternoon my favorite talk was by Lynn G Robbins about failure. It was really cool and I was able to really relate it to me and my situations I have gone through and am currently going through, it was an amazing talk. The time goes so fast when you watch conference on the mission because you do not want it to end. And it really flew by.
On sunday we watched conference all day again. I was taking notes on all the talks during conference and I did not want to miss anything. My pen was being difficult and the ink was not coming out and so i could not write with my pen and it was actually making me pretty mad. I decided to just put the notebook down and not write anything down, just focus on the feelings. about 30 seconds later President Eyring said in his talk something along the lines of, it does not always matter if you get to write stuff down and it is not always that important, what is important is the feelings and revelation you get in the moment you get them. Just then I realized that I should not keep taking notes and I was reminded that note taking is good, but the feelings and revelation you get while watching are more important to remember than the actual words themselves.Conference came to an end and it was a great last hymn by Motab they always end with a bang. I cant wait for october, conference is really like the super bowl for me on my mission its the thing i look forward to most of all. I hope you all can read and study the talks of our prophets and apostles they are truly from God and can really help us with anything we are going through.
Well, the area I am in is vvery good. Our apartment is huge and really in a nice area, it reminds me of america. There are a ton of subdivisions in our area with rich philippinos who like to speak english to us so it is pretty interesting. The ward is good and this next saturday we have 4 baptisms coming up! It is going to be awesome I am so excited. Love you all! hope you have a great week!

haha....I am getting transferred again!! 4/2/2018
Well well well, I hope you all had a great week. This week was pretty good, exactly one year ago I received a call to serve as a missionary and was assigned here in the Philippines. As I look back at where I was there compared to where I am now...wow it is such a big difference. Missions are the best, they refine you and push you and because of that you get better and better, and your weaknesses get stronger and stronger (even if it doesn't feel that way). Also one year ago I was with the boys on sprang break and it was litty (sorry i had to include that in there, for the boys).
This week was transfers and since I just got here like 6 weeks ago I was totally confident that I was staying in Bagong Silang with Elder David, but no I am transferring again. I have now had like 6 areas and 5 companions and I have only been in the field for 7 months hahahaha. It is all ok though because at the end of the day, I am still a missionary and I get to do the greatest work in all the different areas. My new area is Deparro Ward in Novaliches stake, it is like 10 minutes away from Bagong Silang so it is not too far. I am excited for my next companion Elder Bromley, he went to Lone Peak and has been in the mission about 8 months so we are about the same. Elder Richards is going to be my kabahay again! hahaha and I will probably be there to watch him die (finish his mission). So yeah, its gonna be fun and I am really excited to start fresh and start getting baptisms again, hopefully the Lord can guide us to those being prepared to hear us.
This week was pretty boring, although we did have our Power Scrub and scored pretty high so i was happy about that. I killed 13 cockroaches on Saturday which is a new personal record, my old one was only 6. That was pretty cool. This weekend is CONFERENCE!!!!!!! I am sooooooo excited to hear the prophet and the apostles speak and I have heard a lot of the new news and temples and I am so pumped to officially watch it and hear it. Our family that we are working on came to church again and committed to going to conference this weekend so hopefully they come. Elder David should be able to baptize them on the 28th of April if all goes well. It is supposed to be really hot here but lately it has been rainy and cloudy...weird but I am not complaining haha. Anyways that was my week and next week I will have a new comp and house and area, on to the next one. Love you all, thank you for your support, sorry no pictures (im the worst sorry ) but im getting a new cord soon.
