Magandang Araw sa inyong lahat! Wow this week was awesome! This was one of the best weeks of my entire mission, we had the spirit in so many of our lessons and the members helped out by giving us some quality referrals. We are trying super hard to get as many people baptized in June as we possibly can, this week was the last week we had to find for June. I am really satisfied with the work we did this week, we had back to back days where we were able to teach 9 lessons and found lots of new investigators. Saturday morning we had a feeling to go out early and visit a contact that we had. When we got to there house there was 10 people in it and they were all family members, and no one was a member. We taught a great lesson about the Restoration and they really enjoyed it, right after we ended the lesson they asked us where our church is and when we can come back. We set up an appointment for this week and they have been texting us this week about how excited they are to come to church! It would be amazing if they all came, I know that God led us there because they were ready to hear the gospel and accept the message and because we were willing to act and actually go out and work. That experience goes along with something I learned this week: when we set goals we need faith. When I say faith I mean the belief that you can hit the goal that you set, and the ACTION. If we set a goal for 40 baptisms in a month we need to absolutely believe that we can hit that goal, we need to be thinking about it and thinking about ways we can hit it. But the more important part is the action. We need to actually go out and work as hard as we can and do all that we can to hit that 40. If we get up and do the work, if we give our all to hit that goal then the Lord will help us and make up the difference. I have found myself saying many times on my mission "Lord I am going to do the best I possibly can, I am giving it my all, and I know you will do the rest." Then when we go out be confident, be humble, and try to learn as much as you can.
President Hughes shared a quote with us, I don't know who said it : "I never lose, I either win or I learn." I have tried to apply that quote in my life and I invite you all to do the same.
Another quote from Elder Holland I heard this week: "The first great commandment is to love God with all of our heart, might, mind, and strength, but the first great truth is that God loves us with all his heart, might, mind, and strength."
Mahal ko po kayo!!! Have a great week
