Uwi na ako 6/24/2019

Well, this is the last one.
We had a great week, the Jotojot family will enter the waters of baptism on Saturday. We got smartphones this week, its pretty stressful but the work here will progress so much with these new tools. I am going to miss the mission so much, it was the hardest thing I have ever done by far... but it brought me the most happiness and it truly was the best 2 years for the rest of my life. Thank you for all the support and all the love. Mahal ko ang mission, mahal ko ang Pilipinas.

I know the the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. I know that God lives and loves each and everyone of us more than we can even comprehend. We are his children. I know that Jesus Christ guides his church through prophet Russell M. Nelson. I know that Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God. He saw God the father and his sons Jesus Christ, and through him the church was restored to the earth. The book of Mormon is the word of God, and it is true. If we read it and live the principles in it our lives will change. I know that what I have been teaching for 2 years is true, I promise that if it wasn't I would not have come here for 2 years. Jesus Christ is our savior and redeemer. He lives.

I would invite you to do what it takes to gain a testimony of this gospel, because it is real and true. Thanks again for all your support! mahal ko po kayo! 8 days na lang ako!!!!

6/7/2019 Binyag ni Hilda!

Magandang araw sa inyong lahat!!!

This week was the baptism of Hilda! We found her 4 weeks ago and she was a great investigator. She read up to Alma, she always prayed, and she even gave up coffee the day we taught Word of Wisdom. I am thankful that we were lead to her house with the help of our members. The first visit she was crying and felt like she was worthless and now, only 4 weeks later she knows she is a daughter of God and is happier than ever. I know that obedience to the Gospel of Jesus Christ will change our lives. What an opportunity we have as members of the Church of Jesus Christ to share our knowledge of the gospel with others.

This week will be cool because on Friday we will get our smartphones and we can start using messenger and Facebook to find and teach. I am super excited to see how the work progresses as we add these new tools. Also I just so happen to have like 2 weeks left so....

Mahal ko po kayo! Enjoy your week, see ya in 16 :)

Squad Batch temple trip 6/10/2019

Maayong Adlaw sa inyong lahat! This week was another good one. The biggest thing that happened this week was stake conference. It was a great meeting and a lot of our investigators got to go and hear the wonderful messages. We have really been working on our upcoming baptismal candidates. Sister Helda passed her interview and will be baptized on the 15th, sister Celsa gets interviewed next week to get baptized on the 22nd, and the Jotohot family will be on the 29th. I am really blessed to be able to baptize the rest of my mission, I know that the Lord led us to these people at this time and through us the spirit helped their conversion. I am really excited for the next couple weeks. I got to go to the temple with my batch on Thursday, it feels like just yesterday I was at the MTC and now we only have a couple weeks left. Time flies when you are having fun. I love you all, I know that the gospel blesses families and Jesus Christ lives. Ingat kayo lagi! Have a great week!

Rise of Minuyan 6/3/2019

Magandang araw sa inyong lahat! We had another great week this week, weeks like this make me not want to leave haha. The biggest thing that happened was with the Jotohot family, we went to them a lot this week and had some really good lessons. On Sunday we were waiting for them at church... at the start of sacrament they were still not there, we started thinking to ourselves what we were doing wrong, what we could do better, we got a little discouraged. Than 10 minutes after the start we look back and saw them... all 12 of them! I should have known Filipino time is a real thing haha. It was awesome to see them all there, they had other members talking to them and fellow-shipping them. They really enjoyed it and after they asked us when they could get baptized!!! We told them the 29th, so if all goes to plan I they could all be baptized on my last Saturday in the mission! That was a great moment, made the week that much better.

We also have another investigator named Vivian, she is a nanay (like 60 years old). She is the most makuwento nanay I have ever met hahaha, I love the visits we have had with her. We gave her Ang Aklat ni Mormon last week and gave her a assignment in Alma... next time we went over there she FINISHED THE WHOLE BOOK OF ALMA! She took notes of what happened and wrote the names of all the people, we had a 2 hour talk about all the wars and all the stuff that happens in Alma. It was amazing, she came to church this week and has a bap date for the 29th of June. This week I was reminded of the power of the Book of Mormon. It truly is the most true book on the whole face of the earth, and we will really learn and change through reading and applying the things we learn. Minuyan ward is on the rise again! Mahal ko ang mission ko, ayaw kong umuwi haha. mahal ko po kayo!! Have a great week!!!

@elderstjohn: PQCNM ang pinakamagandang mission sa buong mundo. haha pero mahal parin kita :)
