This week was the last week of the MTC and the first week in the field. I saw Elder St John in the MTC and we talked it was really good to hear from him again! I got to the mission office on Wednesday, the drive was crazy and the sister missionary in our car was throwing up the whole way there. We had a bunch of orientation meetings and then I got my trainer......Elder Morris. He is from Las Vegas, he has been here for 14 months and he is honestly the perfect trainer for me. He is hilarious and he knows the area really well. We are in the Fairview Stake assigned to the Don Antonio Ward. We also have a senior couple who are missionaries from Alberta Canada they are awesome, they treat us like their grandkids haha. So the ward here is pretty unstable and unorganized. A lot of less actives and the leadership is not the greatest. We had a baptism on saturday, her name was Alexa, she is a convert, the baptism was supposed to be at 5 pero (but) in Philippino time that means 5:45 lol. It took 4 hours to fill the font beacause the water pressure is so low. We have another baptism this saturday who is another convert. He is 12, he is awesome, the only one in his family who wants to change get baptized and go to church every week. It is so hot and humid here, i sweat soooo much all night and every day. I am way tired as well because I am learning a lot at a very fast pace. I am still adjusting to the way of life here, wow some of these people are sooooo poor. I have had a coouple dinner appointments so far and luckily the food was aight. I love rice, its the only thing here that is consistently good. Tagalog is hard. that is all.
