Maligayang Pasko! 12/25/2017

Its Christmas!!!! I miss you all like crazy! Hope you all have a great Christmas!

This week was full of ward christmas parties and visiting members. We gave some blessings to sick members it was a really good experience. We had christmas parties and here the parties are CRAZY! loud music and dancing, karioke, all sorts of crazy stuff. Me and Elder Basa were called up to dance in front of everyone haha. It was way funny. Anyway the work was slow due to everyone being gone for the holidays. I opened my christmas packages this week and shoutout out to the family for hooking up big time! And also whoever gave me the jazz tie ( im thinking it was either skee or peyt...) THANK YOU! I have not much time i am sorry just know that I love you all, and i am so thankful for Christ and what he did for us. The atonement is the most heroic act in the history of the world. LOVE YOU MALIGAYANG PASKO! im sorry no pics....no camera haha

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas......( not really ) 12/18/2017

Hello to you all! I miss you and love you all! this week was pretty boring to be honest but ill try and make it sound really fun haha

So this week started off great, i introduced myself to the ward and ore my testimony. This ward is reeally awesome, there are so many members willing to help us with the work! We found a couplke new investigators on sunday and hopefully they can come to church and progress. Our progressing investigator is sister Lilia. She is awesome, she is single and like 50 years old. She is getting baptized on the 30th of December! We worked all week with members to try and familiarize the area, good times. We had a practice for our Haka we are doing at christmas conference and we practiced our dance for the stake christmas party. Saturday came and it was time to do the dance. We all got hyped right before and it kinda reminded me of football haha. But we nailed the dance, it went really well and everyone loved it haha. After we went to domines as a zone to eat, i went to pay for my delicious large ham and pineapple pizza only to find that i had no money in my bag....yes....i was robbed, AGAIN. and this time i was not the only one. onew of the sisters was missing her wallet. Its sad to see that people will steal from missionaries at the stake center. But its whatever forgive and forget. The weather this week was great! and it does not fell like christmas here at all. This week is gonna be packed with conferences and chrsitmas stuff so i am super excited! our bathroom is still broken so we run to the church whenever we have to go and they actually have toilet paper there! my tagalog rap is coming along, i might have a dope album at the end of my mission haha joke lang. Shoutout to my dad, Peyton, Pierce, Ashton, and all other people with birthdays. Shoutout to the mitchell rookie on the Jazz, i hear he is balling it up. Shoutout to LeBron for being the best player in the NBA 12 years running. And of course shoutout to my amazing family who i really miss and love! sorry, no pictures because no camera haha. LOVE YOU ALL! MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Its more fun in Malolos 12/11/2017

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great week, I love you and miss you all!

So as you know some crazy crap went down last week and I found myself transferring again to Malolos. Malolos is on the edge of our mission area, its close to the ocean so we have a lot of rivers, streams, and fish ponds. It is more province than city which is awesome, it means less cockroaches and more fresh air. I would send some dope pictures but I dont have a camera yet, sorry. So my new ward is Malolos 3rd ward. It is way awesome and the members here love missionary work. Last year they had the most baptisms in the whole mission, we got a lot to live up to haha. My new companion is Elder Basa, he is from Bacolod, Philippines. He is a stud and loves basketball, and likes helping me with tagalog.

The first couple days here I went on exchanges with Elder Richards our ZL from South Jordan. We taught some lessons and met some members. One day we were walking in the giant rice field it was about 6pm and getting dark. We were walking to a house and all of the sudden this nanay (grandma) came out of the bushes and came up to us. Elder Richards started talking to her and she kept saying "its really late why are you here, its really late" We stopped walking and Elder Richards decided to go back to the main road. We hurried outta there and after he told me that he had a strong feeling not to visit that house before but he ignored it. After the nanay saying what she said he knew that we should not be there. It was a really powerful experience and a good reminder to me that we need to listen to the spirit always. If we had not listened we could have been put in a dangerous situation. I am so grateful for spiritual promptings and I know that I am constantly being protected especially as a missionary. Anyways, elder richards loves football, he played for bingham in highschool. He has a football and so every morning we throw the football around, its flippin awesome. We had a service project on thursday morning. We got these huge machetes and were cutting down trees and also catching fish and draining a rice field. It was way fun, and we all ended up in the muddy rice field running around and making a mess haha. Our house is nice and safe, although the toilet only works somedays, so we have to go to the church if we want to go hahaha. We have a mini hoop on our wall so we always play horse when were bored, and im writing a rap in tagalog with the help of elder basa, but who knows, maybe one day i will become a professional rapper in tagalog hahahaha joke lang. ITS ALMOST BOWL SEASON! hope all you college football fans have a great time watching games and i hope you all enjoy the weeks leading up to christmas. Anyway, its good here in Malolos I hope that I can learn and learn and learn while I am here. I love you all! shout out to all the homies on missions and future missionaries! Shoutout to the fam! This week Pierce (my future brother..haha) my dad, and my cousin Peyton have birthdays! Wish them happy birthday! thats all i love you and miss you, remember to read the Book of Mormon every day! Ingat po!

12/4/2017 Hide your kids hide your wife

Hello to you all! This week was pretty crazy haha, some stuff went down, but thanks to my awesome mission president and my awesome mission leaders I am all good now.

It all started when I got to the new apartment in Lagro, as you know, I am white, and here in the Philippines when they see white people they think rich. So the first night in Lagro me and Elder Talamai went to bed, while we were sleeping someone broke into our house and took our wallets, cameras, watches, our phone, and our dvd player. lucky for the robber, we slept through the whole thing haha. No, but my watch was right next to my head so the robber must have been like 6 inches away from me at one point. Crazy. When we woke up to a missing window and a hole in the door we realized that we had been robbed. I feel bad for Elder Talamai because he goes home in January and all his memories and photos from his whole mission are gone. Anyway we used someones phone to call the mission president and he told us that maybe the Lord kept us asleep, looking back on it it was probably a very good thing that we were asleep because he probably had a knife or gun and so it strengthened my testimony that the Lord protects his missionaries. He got everything sorted out and we were moved to La Mesa Ward in San Jose Del Monte. The house is really nice and the area is all subdivision which is good for safety but bad for finding (subdivision folk dont really like hearing about the gospel). The ward here is aweesome! they are all really nice and willing to work, the area is really different from the city, i can actually see a little bit of mountains! The people here are nice and I am thankful that it all worked out. One of our fans doesnt have a cover on it and I cut my finger open on it, and the next day Talamai cut his elbow on it haha. It might go down as the worst week of the mission haha. Oh ya and just a few minutes ago I found out I am getting transferred again....to Malolos. well, so far this mission has been nothing short of an adventure, I am curious to see what the Lord needs me to learn and what I need to do. My new companion will be Elder Basa, he is filipino and I hear he is really a good guy. Hopefully I can stay there for a while! haha well three months in the field and already 4 areas, and three companions hahaha. The lord must have a great sense of humor. Oh well, I love you all!!! I hope you all have a great week! thanks for the emails! Be SAFE!
