So as you know some crazy crap went down last week and I found myself transferring again to Malolos. Malolos is on the edge of our mission area, its close to the ocean so we have a lot of rivers, streams, and fish ponds. It is more province than city which is awesome, it means less cockroaches and more fresh air. I would send some dope pictures but I dont have a camera yet, sorry. So my new ward is Malolos 3rd ward. It is way awesome and the members here love missionary work. Last year they had the most baptisms in the whole mission, we got a lot to live up to haha. My new companion is Elder Basa, he is from Bacolod, Philippines. He is a stud and loves basketball, and likes helping me with tagalog.
The first couple days here I went on exchanges with Elder Richards our ZL from South Jordan. We taught some lessons and met some members. One day we were walking in the giant rice field it was about 6pm and getting dark. We were walking to a house and all of the sudden this nanay (grandma) came out of the bushes and came up to us. Elder Richards started talking to her and she kept saying "its really late why are you here, its really late" We stopped walking and Elder Richards decided to go back to the main road. We hurried outta there and after he told me that he had a strong feeling not to visit that house before but he ignored it. After the nanay saying what she said he knew that we should not be there. It was a really powerful experience and a good reminder to me that we need to listen to the spirit always. If we had not listened we could have been put in a dangerous situation. I am so grateful for spiritual promptings and I know that I am constantly being protected especially as a missionary. Anyways, elder richards loves football, he played for bingham in highschool. He has a football and so every morning we throw the football around, its flippin awesome. We had a service project on thursday morning. We got these huge machetes and were cutting down trees and also catching fish and draining a rice field. It was way fun, and we all ended up in the muddy rice field running around and making a mess haha. Our house is nice and safe, although the toilet only works somedays, so we have to go to the church if we want to go hahaha. We have a mini hoop on our wall so we always play horse when were bored, and im writing a rap in tagalog with the help of elder basa, but who knows, maybe one day i will become a professional rapper in tagalog hahahaha joke lang. ITS ALMOST BOWL SEASON! hope all you college football fans have a great time watching games and i hope you all enjoy the weeks leading up to christmas. Anyway, its good here in Malolos I hope that I can learn and learn and learn while I am here. I love you all! shout out to all the homies on missions and future missionaries! Shoutout to the fam! This week Pierce (my future brother..haha) my dad, and my cousin Peyton have birthdays! Wish them happy birthday! thats all i love you and miss you, remember to read the Book of Mormon every day! Ingat po!
