January 28 2018

Hello everyone! I hope you all are doing great! I miss you all and hope you had a great week.

So this week was really awesome. On the 27th we were able to baptize four people into this church. It was an awesome experience, although the actual baptism went a little long......it was a great experience. So the week started with exchanges again with the ZLs. Me and elder richards talked alot about football and track, we also taught a ton of lessons and walked soooooo much. We had one appointment where we straight walked for like an hour and ten minutes non stop. awesome. We had zone interviews on thursday at Camarin chapel, the jeepney we had was not big enough....lets just say it was a longgggg ride. We got there and I had my interview, it all went well. I got my personal card finally! and also I got a wedding invitation from my sister...yes everyone had to look and laughed at the height difference haha.

I saw my man elder connell again from my first area haha. He is now a ZL. We caught up and had a few laughs. After that we went to Burger King and Krispy Kreme, man i miss food like that. The next day burger king and krispy kreme got its revenge on us...but its ok because our bathroom is now fixed and our toilet works! The 27th came and we had four baptisms scheduled. They all showed up and were all excited. I was able to baptize the first three, it went all goods. The last girl was really scared. She literally would not come out of the bathroom into the font. After 30 minutes she decided to come into the font. Meanwhile I was chillin in the font, the stake president gave me the ok to swim while we waited hahahaha. Long story short after an hour of slowly walking down the stairs and getting prepared she was baptized. It was a really good opportunity and the water felt really good so im glad iwas in there for an hour and a half. The next day they all got confirmed and now they are members of the church of jesus christ of latter day saints. Im so happy for them, they made the right decision. We have three more for february so hopefully those can go through and hopefully im still here in malolos. Well thats about it. Congrats to my mom for winning state in cheer, and congrats to all my friends that are leaving on missions soon. Remeber to read the book of mormon everyday and I hope you  are all able to attend the temple often. I will hopefully have a camera next week so ill start putting pics on the emails. Love you all, feel free to email me if you need anything. In the wise words of J.Cole, remember. if you aint aiming to high, than your aiming too low. haha talk to you guys next week.

Pictures: These are of our baptism on saturday the three girls are the Nicdao's and the boy is Angel Soriano. And NO im not wearing white socks hahahaha. The last one is the festival going on down the street haha

1/22/2018 RIP LeBron

Hello everyone! I want to start this email off by saying that LeBron, my chicken, has died. We put him outside when we were cleaning our house for like 3 minutes and all of the sudden we see a cat run off with LeBron in the cats mouth. We tried to chase it down but it was too late. I hate cats

Anyway this week was pretty boring. All of our appointments and progressing investigators live in the two farthest areas so everyday it takes about 1 hour to get there and 1 to go back. The pamasahe (transportation) is way expensive and one of the days I dropped like 150 pesos on jeepneys and trikes. The good thing is that we had a dinner appointment every night this week! Man it was awesome. the only scary thing is that i found that my belt is now a little too tight and my collars are getting really tight as well...in other words, im getting fat. hahaha not really but i did gain 10 pounds this week haha. I finally weigh a solid 175. We had one investigator named Jefferson, but i call him Jboy because he deserves a cool nickname. We taught him and his aunt last week and he came to church! so we went back this week but he told us that his mom did not want him taking the lessons from us. It sucked and we asked him to beg his mom. We prayed everyday that his mom would open up and allow him to receive the gospel. He came to church this week and told us that his mom finally said it was ok for us to come teach! Bang baby, prayer works. He is solid and i can see him getting baptized in February. We have 4 baptisms on line for this saturday! I am really hoping they all go through. So as you know we do not have a working toilet at our house.. so were looking for new homes. We found this little girl on the street yesterday and she staring taking us to apartments that were for rent. She was like 8 but she was like our real estate agent haha, she took us to 3 homes they all looked good too i was impressed. Then later we were house hunting in our area and Elder Basa all of the sudden went up to a lady sitting down and asked if there were any apartments available. She was actually selling one that was cheap and perfect size. It was cool to see the spirit work in Elder Basa. Hopefully we can move out this week and hopefully i get my personal card so i can buy a camera and have cool pictures for you all. That was pretty much my week. Sorry no pictures, shoutout to all the homies on missions and to my fam. Love you all and hope you have a great week!

Boring week sorry....the church is true 1/15/2018

Hello everyone!

So this week was pretty boring actually, nothing too crazy happened. I did buy this awesome Reggie Miller jersey for really cheap and im pretty excited about that. We did not have any baptisms this week but on the 27th we should have 4. We are really excited because three of them are sisters and when they get baptized their whole family will be members! Our ward makes the work really easy and we have been getting tons of referrals, we even got some referrals from our investigators! awesome. We do not really have to do much finding because the ward does the finding for us! We taught a bunch of lessons this week, and almost all of our investigators at the moment are coming to church so im really hyped for them. Our bathroom is still broken and no one has even been in there in like a week, we found a couple homes for rent and hopefully we can move out soon. My chicken LeBron is getting really fat and getting really big he should be full grown in like 20 more days. Anyways sorry nothing really happened this week, i wasnt able to watch the funeral of President Monson but I know that he is a true prophet of God. If you do not have a testimony of prophets yet I suggest that you do what it takes to get one. I am so glad that we have prophets to guide us and counsel us in our day. I am glad to be here and I am thankful for the Holy Ghost who is the true teacher and converter.

Baptism days are fun 1/8/2018

Hello everyone! I hope you all have recovered from the holidays and that you are all doing well!

This week was a great week, it was just your average week of missionary work, but it was really good. The highlight of this week was the baptism of our investigator Lilia De Jesus! It was awesome, the baptism actually started on time (kinda) and the font was clean and the program was made on time! YES! It was a really cool and spiritual experience to see her enter the waters of baptism and to see the light in her increase. She was full of the spirit and was in tears the whole time. It was awesome. We have four more baptisms this month planned and we are hoping they will all make it to baptism.

So something happened on thursday that absolutely boggled the mind of my companion Elder Basa. I had a bloody nose, and it was pretty bad too. For me bloody noses are a normal thing, before the mission i would get them a lot (idk if that is healthy or not but whatever) I guess Elder Basa had only seen a bloody nose once and the person who got it ended up dying... so i ran down stairs to get a tissue and he looked at me like i was a ghost. Sadly the blood dripped on my new Jazz tie and my semi-white shirt (we were able able to get the bloody blood off eventually). Basa started freakin out and was trying to call the mission president and the mission nurse haha. He would not let me leave the house and made me sit down and not move haha. He bought me some cold water and insisted that I rest for the rest of the day. he would not budge, so we spent the day talking and studying. I tried to tell him that it happens alot but he would not let me outisde, bless his heart hahahaha. When the ZLs came over he told them and than on sunday some how all the members knew I had a bloody nose and they were all concerned haha. I love philippinos.

Other than that nothing too exciting happened this week. We had a lesson with a less active and she shared a very strong testimony of Joseph Smith and it was pretty awesome. After giving a lesson about the Plan of Salvation we asked our investigator where he came from and he said "the church" so ya he obviously did not understand the lesson haha. My chicken, LeBron, is doing good, he is healthy and growing, hopefully he will turn into some good chicken adobo hahaha. Our bathroom is still broken and our shower water is still black, but hey life is good on the Lords errand. Im happy to be here and I love this work. Remember to read the Book of Mormon every day and say your prayers.

Shoutout to all the homies on the mission that are freezing their butts off haha, its still hot here. Shoutout to my awesome family, love you guys. Thats all sorry no camera yet so no pictures but hopefully ine day i will buy one. Love yall kita kits

Bye 2017 Hello 2018 12/31/2017

Hello to you all, love you and miss you.

First, Congrats to my sister, Harley who got married on saturday (i actually dont know when, but im pretty positive it was saturday). I would just like to point out that she is 5'2" and her new husband is 6'8" hahahahahahaha. Anyway, congrats to her, I am so happy that she was able to marry in the temple!

Ok so this week was pretty boring because everyone here is out of town because of the holidays. We were able to teach and visit some less active members, t my ward is so very helpful and we had a ward worker everyday this week! We taught sister Lilia who is scheduled to get baptized on Saturday the 6th! I am happy for her! Also speaking of baptisms, Erwin one of our investigators in Don Antonio was baptized on Saturday! finally! On wednesday, we gave out like 4 or 5 blessings to our STL and some of the members. it really helped me remember and appreciate the power of the priesthood. It is so important to be worthy to use this power in our everyday lives. It is literally the power and authority of god. The rest of the week was just members calling us and wanting us to come over and share with them and also eat haha. We ate a lot of food this week. Yesterday was sunday and also new years eve, we literally ate the whole day! we had appointment after appointment and ate until we felt like we were gonna explode (too bad our toilet doesnt work hahaha) The philippines really knows how to do new years! wow, it was like a warzone outside! there was constant sound and so many fireworks, it was crazy! there was smoke everywhere and crazy people on motorcycles honking their horns speeding in the strreet. Wow it was unlike anything I have ever seen in the states haha. That night we made tacos, and my kabahay made some weird deep fried thing that tasted way good. Our neighbors came and gave us a ton of food, we have no more room in our fridge. It was a great new years, something i will never forget. Now its 2018 another year has come and gone, wow. I am exctited for whjat 2018 brings. I am ready to learn and grow and i am excited to see how everything happens. I love this work, and this gospel. Please do not take the Book of Mormon for granted, or temples. I finished the BofM for the second time and it is amazing. I know that it is true, and i would not be here in another country missing weddings and family if it was not true. like Holland says, no evil man could write it and no holy man would, unless it was from god. HAPPY NEW YEARS! LOVE YOU ALL!
