This week was a great week, it was just your average week of missionary work, but it was really good. The highlight of this week was the baptism of our investigator Lilia De Jesus! It was awesome, the baptism actually started on time (kinda) and the font was clean and the program was made on time! YES! It was a really cool and spiritual experience to see her enter the waters of baptism and to see the light in her increase. She was full of the spirit and was in tears the whole time. It was awesome. We have four more baptisms this month planned and we are hoping they will all make it to baptism.
So something happened on thursday that absolutely boggled the mind of my companion Elder Basa. I had a bloody nose, and it was pretty bad too. For me bloody noses are a normal thing, before the mission i would get them a lot (idk if that is healthy or not but whatever) I guess Elder Basa had only seen a bloody nose once and the person who got it ended up dying... so i ran down stairs to get a tissue and he looked at me like i was a ghost. Sadly the blood dripped on my new Jazz tie and my semi-white shirt (we were able able to get the bloody blood off eventually). Basa started freakin out and was trying to call the mission president and the mission nurse haha. He would not let me leave the house and made me sit down and not move haha. He bought me some cold water and insisted that I rest for the rest of the day. he would not budge, so we spent the day talking and studying. I tried to tell him that it happens alot but he would not let me outisde, bless his heart hahahaha. When the ZLs came over he told them and than on sunday some how all the members knew I had a bloody nose and they were all concerned haha. I love philippinos.
Other than that nothing too exciting happened this week. We had a lesson with a less active and she shared a very strong testimony of Joseph Smith and it was pretty awesome. After giving a lesson about the Plan of Salvation we asked our investigator where he came from and he said "the church" so ya he obviously did not understand the lesson haha. My chicken, LeBron, is doing good, he is healthy and growing, hopefully he will turn into some good chicken adobo hahaha. Our bathroom is still broken and our shower water is still black, but hey life is good on the Lords errand. Im happy to be here and I love this work. Remember to read the Book of Mormon every day and say your prayers.
