MTC week 2 8/9/2017

Wow, this week flew by! I dont have enough time to say everything but once i leave the MTC ill get more time and my emails will get better i promise.

The language is getting tougher every day but the more i realize that i am learning this language for the people here, rather than myself, the more i recognize blessings.

Thursday: We got two new investigators and they both do not understand one lick of english. I was getting frustrated with one of my investigators because he was on his phone during our whole lesson so i kind of told him to put his phone away and pay attention i asked him if he even cares about what are message is. that wasnt a good idea. he liked kicked us out haha.... sometimes you have to be bold with the investigators, but at the same time keep the spirit in the room.

Friday: We had rice and this weird chicken soup every meal YES! we had classes all day, i got really discouraged with the language and was tired all day. Then i realized im not here for myself, so i forced myself to feel better. I played basketball with all the pinos and it was so fun, they are so short but they can dribble like uncle skee ;)

Saturday: I felt better and our lessons went very well. Im starting to realize that all we can do as missionaries is invite others to make commitments. We cannot persuade anyone to join the church, the spirit has to be there and the spirit is the one doing all the work. The language is hard, the food was ehh better. My pino roomates raided my closet and found my orange tie the one i wore at my farewell. They wouldnt give it back so i got some axe spray and douced them until they gave it back hahaha. at least they dont stink anymore :)

Sunday: Meetings all day, just your typical fast sunday. we got ice cream for dinner and we went to the temple grounds.

Monday, Tuesday: classes all day. The language is getting a little easier but i still know so little. We cleaned the room and when we flushed the toilet a bunch of little worms came out of the water holes so know there are worms living in our toilet. The pinos are hilarious i love them so much, everytime they see me they wave and yell "munk...your a monkey" hahaha its awsome.

This week was better, i cant wait to get out to the field. Love all of you guys sorry again it wasnt the greatest email ever. Miss you guys a TON! talk to ya next week :)
