Hey everyone, hope your all doing good. This week was just like the other two weeks, once i leave the MTC i will send pictures and better emails haha.
Thursday: We taught all day long and learned Tagalog, we tried to read the Book of Mormon but it took like 15 minutes to read and understand 5 verses. My room companion taught me how to say "crazy head" in Tagalog, but he didnt tell me that it was a very bad word so i yelled it to him in the cafeteria and all the pinos looked at me like i just killed someone. Now i know not to say it hahaha. I turned 19 and i still look 16 so thats awesome. everyone sang to me and it was cool, my kasama bought me a bunch of candy and food. it twas a great birthday.
Friday, Saturday: We taught more lessons and learned more Tagalog. The kids from Provo came to the MTC and their pronunciation was kinda bad...but they will learn.
Sunday: We had a great sacrament meeting and me and my kasama taught elders quorum about christlike attributes. I need to work on patience and dilligence. So sunday here is like movie day so we spend all day watching LDS movies and we mostly all take naps its amazing.
Monday: We watched a devotional from Provo that was live broadcasted so it was sunday night in Utah and monday morning in Manila. It was about locking your heart which, if you know me, isnt really a problem hehe. We taught one of our investigators and she committed to baptism. My tagalog is getting better but im still waaayyy far from even being functional.
Tuesday: This was the last day for the senior LTMS. im gonna miss them, they were way nice to us and they taught us a lot. pray for them as they go out to the field. I was reading in Mormon during study time and something i read really helped me out. Mormon was called to lead an army when he was 16, 16 years old! i cant imagine anyone doing that. It helped me know that God trusts us, he has called me to preach his gospel in a language i do not know. But he trusts me and he will help me if i am diligent and if i try. Our pino roomates left for the real field as well. It was sad because one of them reminded me of Hayden. haha. We went to the temple and shared our testimonies with people, it went ok but the pinos talk so fast its hard to understand what they say.
Love you all, miss you guys sooo much. see ya next week!
